Rush notifications (for buyers, and...sellers too)
Monday I wrote a quick post showing the email notification sellers will receive when a Rush they signed up for gets scheduled.
Today I want to show you the email notification buyers and sellers will receive right when the Rush begins. Although participating sellers are included in each notification, this email is really designed with buyers in mind. Its intended to provide a strong call-to-action (big button) to come join the Rush. It's short and to the point. As you can see by the screen shot below we kept the content brief and focused on the benefits of any given Rush; deep discounts on tailored merchandise for a limited time.
I imagine we'll tinker with this email a great deal from a/b tests of the subject line right down to the message contents. For those of you signed up for Rush alerts expect to see one or more of these in your inbox soon. Maybe even tomorrow for our first Rush in Antiques.

@Sofy’s Season – we’ll make that clear in the subject line, but the idea is that we send them when it starts – thus the ‘shop now.’

I have one question, relating to the other seller notifications. I have Rush notices checked in my email, but have not been notified of upcoming Rushes I am in.
My rush page, if I happen to look, says I’m in on on Nov. 5 – Friday morn – but I haven’t been notified of that. Weren’t we supposed to get at least 72 hours notice?

@bookbinETC – you should get your notification soon for the Friday Rush. We haven’t automated the notifications yet and are still sending them manually. Keep an eye out oon.

Doesn’t look like the one I received, but I would like to look at the items in today’s upcoming Rush. Is there a link for that?
Where is anyone suppose to see where the rushes are? Been searching for a page where I can go shop at the current one and finally gave up an hour ago after searching all morning. People can not buy if they have no idea where to find it HIDDEN at!

@SensualPleasures – The Rush hasn’t started yet so you cannot shop it. Here is a snippet from our FAQ page.
How will I find out when a Rush has begun? Lots of ways. Sellers will get an email saying the Rush has started with a direct link to the Rush event page once the Rush begins. Select buyers will also receive an email.
There will be a number of places on the site itself to gain access to each Rush. The main Rush page will provide a link to the Rush event when it begins as will the homepage. Also, a site-wide notification will provide a link to anyone who happens to be on the site when a Rush is occurring. Lastly, we’ll be promoting the Rush on Twitter and via Facebook events. And I suspect (hope!) many of you will as well.

Very confusing to me and I know others also. Maybe there should be a preview page that is given in advance so people will may see some item pics of types of items that will be in it. No need to give links with the pics….but to say the least a little info would be cool.
I would like the Rush banner removed from my booth.
If I get a customer in my booth, I don’t want them seeing that prominent banner and leaving before shopping my stuff.
After all, I am a paying member and would like at least that much control of my booth.

Missed out on the RUSH as the notice arrived just before it started and I was already away with my work.
Hope it went well for all who were able to be a part of it.
