Bonanza shipping costs too high...

Shipping costs on my Bonanza items are so much higher than the discounted shipping I can get myself… The imposed Bonanza shipping label purchase mandate really drives up the checkout price and makes selling even more difficult… Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? I use the Bonanza calculated shipping and mark the box to let the buyer choose but I’ve had no sales since this mandated shipping system and only a couple of sales before that. A 13 oz. package costs $9 for a Bonanza shipping label, but only $6 with my own UPS shipping discount… Anyone else see this? $9 for a package under 1 lb. is REALLY high… like, 50% higher! And most of my items are between 1-3 lbs with Bonanza calculated rates at $13.50 – $15.50 to ship….

Why not use USPS mail for the 13oz package? I just set my own shipping costs on my listings and ship them whatever the most cost effective way there is.

I think shipping is one of the main reasons Bozo doesn’t get many sales.

My shipping prices are very high too.
I sell on another site and the shipping is often almost 50% less than Bozo.

I don’t put much stock in Bozo cuz I get maybe 2 sales per year.

I agree with everything you posted as I seem to have the same issue. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong with the shipping… but when I reviewed the entire shipping tutorial it seems I have everything set correctly…

Set up a shipping account with a shipping service. I will say Bonanza shipping prices are comparable to others but I do save with my Shipping Easy. Although you do have to figure in the cost of having the service. I think I pay 19.95 a month for Shipping Easy. What I like about Shipping Easy is that I can purchase insurance on high value sales through them. The only time I had to use the insurance was on a 500.00 order that was very damaged in transit. I submitted the photos of the package and they paid for it almost immediately. With USPS I would be going in circles for a month with them. They will do anything to get out of paying a claim.

I just read this message – what happens to anyone who drop ships? How are you going to force a third party supplier to ship their goods with a label generated from Bonanza?

Just another bad news situation I found about while reviewing recent messages on my Bonanza account. I second the statement above about possibly two sales a year – I’m lucky to get one. Supposedly I received an order two weeks ago, but Bonanza canceled it because my credit card on file was expired and they couldn’t collect the fees.

It’s called “take the fees out of the sale” like other platforms. Another notch for not wanting to sell on here.
