A collection of song lyrics from Britain's Elizabethan Age [latter half of the 16th century], edited by British editor and publisher Arthur Henry Bullen (1857-1920). Each set of lyrics has a source and a date, plus in the front there is an index of first lines. An impressive collection of song verse from this era, including some printed for the first time, from manuscript. The bookplate to the front of "John Fletcher Moulton 1893". This would later be Baron Moulton (1844-1921), since he didn't receive his peerage until he entered the House of Lords in 1912. Medium tan coarse beveled cloth boards with gilt titles to spine; About very good: tanning to the spine and edges of covers, moderate wear to corners, wear and rubbing to covers, modest staining to covers, frayed wear to the spine ends, back inner hinge is cracked but holding, hairline crack to the front inner hinge, front endpaper has mild offsetting.
