Description
RARE: Ship (Transatlantique) in Port An original antique glass photo, likely for display in a magic lantern, of a ship in port. According to the label, the ship is either named "Transatlantique" or perhaps belongs to the French line, Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. The hand-written label appears to be in French but is hard to read so unclear if a specific port is indicated. Based on the cars shown, appears to be ~1920. In excellent condition - sharp, detailed image - looks much better than shown in my handheld digital photos. 4" x 3.25". |
