An elegant and striking large white background dinner plate with decorative multi-layered borders to the inner and outer lip, with raised hand-colored floral decorations, leaves, and yellow griffins, a green outer edge, and a lovely griffin circled medallion centerpiece.
A strikingly beautiful arrangement of colors and patterns.
The underside of the plate bears two Wedgwood backstamps, one in black and one in golden-brown.
The plate is in excellent condition and shows no signs of wear, crazing, cracks or chips.
A fine plate with a glossy glaze, floral & griffin pattern with golden-brown and burgundy decorative borders, a medallion center piece, and with green trim to the edge; 2 backstamps; in black: an illustrated handled urn insignia; in golden brown: "Wedgwood, Bone China, Made In England, Columbia W595, plus two hand-painted potter's marks in red above and below the backstamps, and with a letter in green just inside the sitting rim.
