There is nothing quite as wonderful as the sweet frangrance of a crop of melons in a greenhouse. Blenheim Orange is an old and tried variety of wonderful flavour. It hosts a slightly netted skin and scarlet flesh within. This variety is a real favourite with Victorian gardeners.

Sow: May to early June. Under glass at 20oC. Two seeds per pot. Thin to the strongest seedlings, grow on and transplant when 10cm tall into large individual pots, growbags or greenhouse border. Train up wires or sticks.
