  This paper was inspired by the cotten and linen toiles printed in Jouy, France
during the latter half of the 18th century, circa 1770 - 1790.

Description:  This is a classic toile design featuring scenic medallions with men and women surrounded by a beautiful floral motif. It is printed in warm shades of beige and taupe on midnight black. This classic, charming pattern dates to the late 18th century and is still a favorite! 

The neutral colors are versatile and will provide a striking backdrop to virtually any color scheme. We like it with neutral textured solids and plaids in beiges and taupes with creamy whites. Add a bold shade of your favorite color as an accent and you have a fabulous designer-look room that works with traditional, victorian, country, eclectic and contemporary styles, depending on fabric choices, furnishings, and accessories.  (The folks at our sister store, Restoration Fabrics & Trims, will be happy to help you choose fabrics to complement this or any of our other papers.   • Size: Single Roll is 20.5 inches wide x 7 yards long with an 11 inch repeat.  Each double bolt is 20.5 inches wide x 14 yards long (52.07cm wide x 12.8m long)
  • Quantity:  14 single rolls packaged as 7 double roll bolts.  All from the same dye lot.
  • Condition: New unused, 1st quality.  All are new although none are in cellophane.
  • Color: Beige and Dark Taupe on Black
  • Shipping: Wallpaper can be very heavy. Please use calculator to estimate shipping prior to bidding. You will pay only the exact cost of postage based on weight and distance. We do NOT add handling fees or hidden charges.

HOW MUCH WALLPAPER DO I NEED?
Although it varies by number of doors and windows and pattern match, it takes, on AVERAGE, 10 rolls to paper the walls in an 8 x 10 room with 8 ft. high ceilings. The same room with 10 ft. high ceilings would need 12 rolls. To paper the walls of an average 10 x 14 room with 8 ft. ceilings you will need, in general, a minimum of 14 rolls. If you have 10 ft. ceilings and a 16 x 20 room, you will likely need a minimum of 26 rolls. You should use an on-line wallpaper calculator to determine your exact needs. There are several available, including one at http://diy.easy2.com/. I always like to add a roll or two so I have extra just in case I cut a piece incorrectly or for things like lining drawers or shelves, or even papering a closet to match the room.
