Illustrated with forty-six drawings and watercolors created from 1785-1835 by the master artist of ships, who evocatively included atmospheric seas and skies.

A touch of rubbing to the upper and lower spine edges and corner tips, else very nearly fine in brown, orange and cream marbled boards with brown titles and black borders printed to a cream title label to the front cover, yellow-and-brown headband and tail-band, cream-yellow end-papers; in a near fine dust jacket with light rubbing to the spine folds, slight age-toning to the spine panel, and a very small minor soil spot to the rear panel; original printed $16.00 price still intact to the front inner flap; housed in a very nearly fine, sturdy, textured gray-green slipcase.
