Vintage Mid-Century RED WING USA Pottery Zephyr Pink Speckled Sauce/Console Bowl M-1572

A dusty rose pink in color, with specks throughout the glaze, this piece is fashioned in a style that reminds one of an Aladdin's Lamp. It has a scrolled handles and footed base. From the research I have done I have found it was made around 1957, and designed by design by Charles Murphy. The M designates his designs. It was designed as a sort of console bowl, though I have seen it listed in many places as a gravy/sauce boat, and it would indeed, serve in that fashion quite well.

***PLEASE NOTE ~ THIS PIECE DOES HAVE A FEW FLAWS, which in my opinion give it a certain vintage character. Please do not purchase it if you are looking for perfection. It has a total of 4 small rim chips. 2 of these are merely specks, while the other 2 are a bit bigger.(see pics) It also has a few manufacturer imperfections in the glaze. On the handle there is also a tiny chip if you look closely, that must have occurred during manufacture since it has been glazed over.***

Marked clearly on the bottom "RED WING USA M-1572".

Measures 10" from edge of handle to edge of spout x 6 1/2" at its widest x 3" base diameter.
