Based upon the provenance, we believe this photograph was printed in the early 1930s. The image, which features a rich sepia tint, depicts an interior medium shot of an impassioned and young Sheik Ahmed (Rudolph Valentino) as he takes the beautiful dancing girl, Yasmin (Vilma Banky), by the wrist. Trimmed to approximately 7 x 9.25 in., it is in fine condition as shown.
Provenance: The Sydney R. Barker Collection. Mr. Barker is perhaps the most well-known of the early collectors on Valentino.
