5.75" x 8.5", 139 page hardcover with dustjacket titled TALES FROM ANOTHER TIME by J.L. (Jack) Joplin/ Inverness Press, Houston, Texas, Printing, December 1986/ Memoirs of J.L. "Jack" Joplin, a Houston, Texas businessman, engineer, salesman, amateur inventor, and founder of an oil and gas supply company. Born in 1902, he tells the stories of his lifetime from the turn of the century, through the Great Depression, World War II, and then finally the postwar era that put a man on the moon. But this is not a history book. It is about people and their stories and a gentle look at times gone by.

The book itself is complete and in VERY GOOD condition with some overall wear. The dustjacket has some wear to the edges and some insect chew damage on the back cover (see pictures). On the front free endpaper, the author has inscribed, "To Betty Balsam, Jack Joplin".
