Barlick missed two seasons due to service in the United States Coast Guard and two seasons due to heart problems. He umpired seven World Series and seven All-Star Games.
Enos Bradsher Slaughter, nicknamed "Country", was an American Major League Baseball right fielder. He played for 19 seasons on four major league teams from 19381942 and 19461959.
