This vintage ornate round pincushion is made of a velvet covered cushion set in a round goldtone metal base. The base is decorated with faux pearls and rhinestones with a leaf border design. It is a reddish toned velvet, not a lipstick red, but a more subtle shade of red. It measures approximately 3 ¼ inches in diameter. It is fairly heavy and weighs over 4 ounces. It is similar in style to the Gresco and Florenza pin cushions, but it is unmarked.

It is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It has the normal small marks you would expect to find in the old velvet pin cushion top. The pin cushion center pushes out and can be removed from the border. The back is not enclosed. All the rhinestones and pearls are in place.

This would make a wonderful addition for any sewing lover. How great this would look sitting on a dresser in a Shabby Chic décor bedroom with a couple of vintage stick pins or brooch sticking out. If you collect pin cushions, this is a nice find.
