(Internal #PP515-62) This is a genuine FOSSIL CROCODILE COPROLITE (poop) specimen from the area of the Painted Forest, NE Arizona, Chinle Formation (Triassic era, 220 million years old).  Specimen weights between 3 and 3.4 pounds.

How do we know what it is?  First, by viewing modern Crocodile scat that has a distinct shape and texture.  Also, fossil specimens are examined for dung beetle tracks and animal remains.

Crocodile Phytosaur skeletons, egg nests & footprints have been found in this formation and in the nearby Petrified Wood State Park.

Not recommended for cutting material, specimens only
