Vintage Inlaid Zuni Style Mosaic Stone Aluminum Grazer Curb Bit with Rein Chains

This is an amazing One of a Kind beautifully overlaid "Zuni Style" Mosaic inlay with semi precious stones handmade grazer style cheek aluminum curb bit.  The bit is unmarked and is completely handmade.  The cheeks have a beautiful mosaic pattern of granite, goldstone, and agate type stones in rust, green, coppery brown, black, white, and other earthtones.   The stones are overlaid in the Zuni style, but I don't think the stonework is of Native origin.  The bit has 10 inch long rein chains included as shown in the photos.

The bit is in pre owned condition and the goldstone piece inlaid in the center of the tie bar is chipped as shown in the photos.  This bit has a long 2-1/2 inch purchase for fast response and excellent lift for control of the shoulders and stabilization of the front end.  Ths shanks measure 7-1/2 inches long and the mouthpiece measures 5 inches wide by 3/8 inch in diameter with a 1 inch high by 2 inch wide port.  This bit features a 3 to 1 leverage ratio and weighs 15.91 ounces for great feel and response.  The low port mouthpiece offers some tongue relief and the rotation of the mouthpiece will alert your horse as soon as you pick up the reins.  Used as either a signal or leverage bit, this traditional low port mouthpiece provides feel back into the rider's hand.
