Goodbye, Grace; hello, Lea. Each January, the American Girl doll store debuts its “Girl of the Year” — a new 18-inch doll with unique interests and talents that is sold only during that calendar year. In 2015 it was Grace Thomas, who loved to bake and spent time in Paris.

American Girl's 2016 doll also has an affinity for travel and adventure, but with a camera instead of a mixer. Meet Lea Clark, American Girl's newest doll with hazel eyes; long, wavy caramel hair and a medium skin-tone. A photographer, Lea's story includes an adventure to Brazil.

The Lea Clark doll was released in 2016 and was available for only one year before retirement. She is considered the Girl of the Year for 2016.
