SUMMARY: In hommage to the legendary Sioux Chief, this Warhol work was based on an archival photo, and formed part of the artist's "Cowboys & Indians" series in 1986... The piece is signed by Warhol 'in the plate', and this is just visible at the lower right corner of the print...
An item of superb quality, it was commissioned by El Mundo of Spain in 2007. It bears the title and artist with year below the plate, and verso the support are corroborative details in Spanish, with reference catalogued in lead. Immediately 'ready for framing, the lithograph will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity detailing the origins of the item. [*sizes accurate within 0-5mms]
