You’ve probably heard the story of this famous concert. A new unknown artist by the name of Jimi Hendrix was the opening act for the Monkees who were at the height of their fame. The audience was full of screaming teenage Monkees fans who wanted no part of this new sound coming from Jimi Hendrix and chants of “We want the Monkees” put an end to Jimi’s night.
