Vintage SCHWARZENHAMMER BAVARIA Pierced Reticulated Porcelain
11½" x 7¾ Oval Bowl W/Handles-Germany -11½" (1940's-1950's)
White with silver-black trim around the top edge, a ring around the bowl at midpoint followed by silver-black roses also circling the bowl. In the middle are the words (in German) "Einst im Mprienkranz Keut im Silberglanz." (Once in a wreath of myrtle, today in silver luster.) The bowl is approximately 2¾" tall. Perfect as a candy, fruit or bread dish.
Not sure if it is supposed to be crazed on the white finish but it is and a small flaw in the casting process in a raised bump near the bottom (see photos). From a personal collection that has gotten to big.
