United States M8 Greyhound armored car
The M8 Light Armored Car is a 6×6 armored car produced by the Ford Motor Company during World War II. It was used from 1943 by United States and British forces in Europe and the Pacific until the end of the war. The M8 first saw action in Sicily in 1943 and was subsequently used by the US Army in Italy, North West Europe and the Pacific. In the latter theater, it was used mostly on Okinawa and the Philippines, and was even employed in its original tank destroyer role as most Japanese tanks had armor that was vulnerable to its 37 mm gun. Over 1,000 were supplied via lend-lease channels to US allies; United Kingdom, Free France and Brazil. The vehicle was used during World War Two, Chinese Civil War, Korean War, Greek Civil War, First Indochina War, Cuban Revolution, Congo Crisis, Vietnam War, Cambodian Civil War, Laotian Civil War, Guatemalan Civil War, Colombian Conflict and Peru Conflict.
This model is 3D printed and meant to be an economical alternative to wargamers wanting to expand their armies, it can also be used to build dioramas.
This model is made in thirteen parts, hull top, hull bottom, turret, turret peg, turret ring, boxes and tires. The model will be sent with support material still attached for better safety during transport, cutting and cleaning by the buyer will be needed before assembly. The model is printed using PLA and gluing is needed, if adding accessories to it superglue type glue will be required or other epoxy glue.
The pictures are from one sample model, the models are similar in grade of detail after print cleaning. The model is dispatched in a postal cardboard box with protective material inside for better safety.
