British Matilda II Mk III infantry tank
The A12 Mk II Matilda II infantry tank was an early war tank. The tank entered service in 1939 and served until 1955. It was used during World War Two by the United Kingdom, Australia, the Soviet Union and captured examples by the Germans. After World War Two it continued to serve with Australia and also Egypt that used some during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. This model depicts the Mk III variant retaining the older style tracks and an external fuel tank as used in Northern Africa.
This model is 3D printed and meant to be an economical alternative to wargamers wanting to expand their armies, it can also be used to build dioramas.
This model is made in five parts, turret, hull top, hull bottom and tracks. The model will be sent with support material still attached for better safety during transport, cutting and cleaning by the buyer will be needed before assembly. The model is printed using PLA and gluing is needed, if adding accessories to it superglue type glue will be required or other epoxy glue.
The pictures are from one sample model and some painted shots, the models are similar in grade of detail after print cleaning. The model is dispatched in a postal cardboard box with protective material inside for better safety.
