2012 Tokidoki Marvel Comics Captain America New Era 9FIFTY™ Snapback Baseball Hat Cap
Marvel meets TKDK in a series of designs inspired by Tokidoki’s Creative Director Simone Legno. Artists Tyler Kerr & Danny Kidd brought an interesting twist to the LA based TKDK brand, introducing a new cast of characters that mimic Marvel’s Avengers superhero and villain line up including Wolverine, The Hulk, Spiderman, Iron Man, Thor, Silver Surfer, Nick Fury, Doom, Dr. Octopus, and CAPTAIN AMERICA! In addition to original TKDK Fall 2012’s designs, New Era teamed up with Tokidoki to produce the series on a quality 9Fifty snapback hat, entailing a unique signature comic strip printed and glossed under the bill. Each hat is made of 100% cotton with detailed embroidery in bright, vivid threading. As always, every New Era cap bears the sticker of authenticity on the brim. These Tokidoki and Marvel Comics New Era limited edition collection caps are retired and in very high demand. These are really hard to find since they constantly sell out whenever in stock and are no longer in production.
The embroidered design features a color palette derived from the american flag. With a red brim, white front, blue back, red snapback and red embroidered New Era logo "ne". The embroidered design has a combo of Captain America and a Tokidoki Adios star with the Tokidoki and Marvel logos! The 9FIFTY™ is a classic, adjustable throwback cap. It is a structured cap with a flat visor that has the ability to curve. The New Era 9FIFTY™ style has a full crown and six panels.
The underside of the brim has a black and white elaborate Tokidoki themed Marvel comic strip pattern featuring Captain America, Iron Man, Spiderman, Silver Surfer, Thor, and The Hulk. There is a patch with embroidery at the back in blue red and white that has the signature heart and 2 crossed bones with "Tokidoki x Marvel". The hat adjusts with a red snapback and the fabric is 100% cotton.
Tokidoki means "sometimes" in Japanese and is the Japanese inspired lifestyle brand created in 2005 by Italian artist Simone Legno and his business partners Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold. They produce apparel, footwear, accessories and other products using art, iconic characters, and the logo designed by Simone Legno. Simone has become a recent fixture at the San Diego Comic Con and makes appearances at various locations worldwide for signings and promotions.
