Condition Details:

Import from Australia. Vinyl plays nicely, with occasional light-crackles on side 1 (play-graded). Cover looks good, a few creases, some surface impressions and abrasions and moderate scuffing (front/back); back is slightly discolored with darker spots and has a price sticker at top right. Inner-sleeve is original (plastic). Spine is mostly readable with wear. Little shelf-wear along top-edge; more wear along bottom-edge with split at center. Some wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots; small tear near top on both front and back. (Not a cut-out.)

Blue Skies, by Australian (English born) singer Frank Ifield, reached No. 10 in the UK Albums Chart. It was also the first Frank Ifield album released by the World Record Club. The album includes countrified versions of the jazz standard Sweet Lorraine, Cole Porter's classic I've Got You Under My Skin, Irving Berlin's 1926 composition Blue Skies, and many others – as well as the original Ifield song Let Me Be the One. The album's accompaniment is directed by Norrie Paramor and Johnny Hawkins. Ifield known for his yodeling vocal style. His family emigrated to Australia in 1946. Throughout the 1960's he had a succession of hits which were mainly revivals of American country songs. He was inducted into the Australasian Country Music Roll of Renown in 2003.
