Product description: “Tired of the everyday grind? Ever dream of a life of romantic adventure? Want to get away from it all? We offer you... Escape!” Escape was radio's leading anthology series of high-adventure radio dramas, airing on CBS from July 7, 1947 to September 25, 1954. Escape was a low budget version of Suspense and did not have a regular sponsor. Although sponsored briefly by Richland Oil Company (a five month run in 1950), since it was mostly sustaining, it was subjected to frequent schedule changes and lower production budgets. Despite these problems, Escape was a favorite of many listeners during its seven-year run. This collection includes 16 original radio broadcasts digitally remastered and restored for excellent quality.
