Nashville Strings Play Great Country Hits Vol. 2 was a compilation album of orchestral renditions of classic country songs. Some tracks featured were I Walk the Line, Tennessee Waltz, Stand By Your Man, Wichita Lineman, and more. The Nashville Strings accepted the challenge of interpreting the heavy country-pop material it had to work with, and their inspiration turned the hits on this album right around. The basic melody of each country hit hangs in there, happily recognizable and within reach; but the fresh winged arrangements encouraged the violins to sweep onward and upward and around tuneful corners.
