Universal Ballerina Potteries Dessert / Berry Dishes Yellow Roses Made in USA 2
Here are two wonderful older vintage dessert / berry dishes or shallow bowls from Universal Potteries from the Ballerina line. They have Yellow Roses on them.
The Universal Potteries Company was formed in 1934 in Cambridge, Ohio by a group of Cambridge businessmen. The company is best known to collectors for its Cattail and Ballerina lines. The Universal Potteries Company sold many lines to grocery stores, movie houses and service stations for use as premium items. Ballerina was widely distributed and decorated in many different decorations and treatments. Made somewhere between 1949-1954. The Universal Potteries Company closed in 1955.
They measure about 5 3/8 inches across and about 1 1/4 inches in height. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. They have minimal utensil marks.
Back stamp has universal Oven-Proof - union Made in U.S.A. - Ballerina and number 2 in gold.
