Imagine my surprise when I first picked up this ornament, completely unaware of what lay beneath its innocent ‘bottom’! This looks like an ordinary figurine of Buddha but what hides beneath the innocent façade is anything but innocent!
Underneath the sitting Buddha is a scene of an extremely erotic embrace between an Oriental couple. What a marvellous item for any man cave! The owner of this very rare and unusual figure would smile knowingly to themselves at being the only one who knew the secret underneath…
This piece measures approx. 18 x 15 x 11cm and is made from some sort of dense composite or resin and weighs a hefty 1.65kg. It is a vintage item and has some age related wear on the bottom and a whitish mark possibly a scratch which is hardly noticeable across the top of the back.
