Shatavari (Lat. Asparagus racemosus) is a climbing plant, up to two meters high, which grows on gravelly and rocky forest areas of higher elevations.

Due to its medicinal properties, it has been harvested for thousands of years across Sri Lanka, India and the Himalayas.
