Kurt Adler Santas World Santa Claus Father Christmas St Nicholas 8.5 inch Tall Doll Ornament 

This is a vintage pre-owned 1960's - 1970's era Santa's World Father Christmas ornament that stands 8-1/2 inches tall and has a loop to hang from your tree.  The ornament is in clean, very good condition, only the box shows a little yellowing from age.  Father Christmas, as he is known in Europe is often depicted carrying a tree and wildlife, this Santa is carrying a Robin red breast and nest in his left hand.  He is beautifully dressed in his amazing detailed festive garments and is sure to be an ornament that you will treasure for years to come.

During the 1960's, Kurt Adler started importing holiday goods from the Far East, this particular box is marked Taiwan which helps to determine it's age.  In the 1970's, holiday decorating was transformed into a fashion business with ornaments crafted in country colors, so this traditional Father Christmas is most likely from the 1960's.
