Death Of A Racehorse Mystery Paperback Book by John Creasey from Berkley 1959
(Inspector West #25)
I'll kill that horse, Lady Foley said, quite loudly. But it was another horse that died. Not her son Lionel's Shoestring but the very valuable Silver Monarch.
And the killer didn't hesitate to murder a man who got in the way. So Superintendant West was faced with a particularly difficult case. Why had Silver
Monarch been so senseless slaughtered? Had the killer made a mistake? and, above all, who was the killer?
Book is in acceptable condition. General shelf and corner wear. Cover fraying along the edges. Light staining on interior and exterior. Some wear at the top and bottom of spine (see photo #3). A piece of tape on the spine. Scrape in the upper right of the front cover corner. Book feels lumpy, and I presume water damage, based off the interior staining. A solid reading copy.
