Federal Aviation Regulations Paperback Book from Jeppesen Sanderson Inc 1989
The Federal Aviation Regulations are an integral part of your private, instrument, and commercial training.
This book contains applicable portions of Parts 1, 61, 91, 135, and NTSB 830.
It also contains a summary of Hazardous Materials Regulation (HMR) 175.
Rather than being bound into your pilot training manual, these regulations are printed separately so they can be updated frequently.
The FARs are presented in numerical sequence, and each is preceded by a table of contents for that Part.
To help you tailor your studies, a list of recommended regulations for private, instrument, and commercial pilots is provided at the front of this book.
You should study the recommended regulations thoroughly, making notes in the wide margins provided on each page.
To check your understanding, work the exercises presented at the back of the book. They are divided into private, instrument, and commercial exercises.
Check your answers against the answer section, then review the regulations, as needed.
Other pertinent regulations include Parts 67, 71, and 97.
They are not reprinted here because the information they contain is covered elsewhere in the Jeppesen Sanderson materials.
For example, Part 67 spells out medical standards, but Part 61 also includes the information you will need.
Part 71 gives information on designation of Federal airways and airspace; however, this is covered thoroughly in your manual in the airspace discussion.
Part 97 pertains to standard instrument approach procedures.
Again, this is contained in the Instrument Rating Manual.
There are many other regulations which apply to particular aviation segments, such as Part 133, "Rotorcraft External-Load Operations" and Part 137, "Agricultural Aircraft Operations."
As you move into more specific areas, you should investigate these other FARS.
You should also seek out and review current regulations periodically, since they undergo frequent revisions.
