Exit For A Dame Mystery Paperback Book by Richard Ellington Suspense Drama 1953
What happened to a very bad little girl!
SHE WAS A VERY
BAD LITTLE GIRL
She didn't drink, she didn't smoke, she didn't swear. She said her name was Virginia May Roundtree and that she came to New York from Abingdon, Virginia.
One morning, walking down West Eleventh Street in Greenwich Village, she just plain disappeared.
When Private Eye Steve Drake started on the case, he found out a lot of things. Sweet little Virginia wasn't at all what she had seemed. She did have a job, a good one, and her boss was also her lover. So were at least two other men, one a second-hand bookseller specializing in pornography and the other a mystic who indulged in some very odd practices.
Virginia May Roundtree was certainly a very bad little girl. But that didn't explain why she vanished or where or with whom or if she would ever come back again.
