Lot of 4 Vintage/antique woman's hand held fans. Fans are  made of :

• two with wood spindles and paper - one says Made in Japan with beautiful Chinese Women painted in landscape scene, measures approx. 16" open and 8 1/2" tall. This one has some broken spindles on one end and broken handle at bottom.  The other has nicely painted black handles and spindles with lovelry illustration on one side and oriental writing on other. This one is nicely intact with little vintage wear. Measures approx. 15" open and 9 1/4" tall.
•  one has metal handle and says Made in China with Chinese woman painted on paper. Measures approx. 9 1/2" wide and 5 3/4" tall when folded, has some wear on metal handle, and one small tear on paper where attaches to handle.
• Lastly fan with original storage box. Box says Chi Wen Silk Weaving Co. Hong Kong and Sandal Wood Fan. Fan is light off white sandlewood handles and thin spindles with handpainted silk woven through spindles and on top edge of fan. Tassle at handles bottom with metal hook. Measures approx. 12 1/4 " open by 7 " tall. Has some soiling on silk and wood, small tear and small chipping, breakage of one of the spindles where attached to silk. Box has some wear, tearing at ends of cover.

Fan's intact with vintage/antique wear, some fading, discoloration,soiling of fan at folds, some slight wear,  possible small tears at fold edges. See photos.
