It was the first guitar instrumental to climb the Country Music Charts, peaking at No. 8. The single also gained high rankings on the popular music charts. Guitar Boogie has been interpreted and recorded by a variety of musicians like Chet Atkins, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and many others.
