The premium filter segments the (GAC) Granular Activated carbon made from raw organic coconut shells, reducing the settling of the carbon and enhancing overall filtration. Each filter features a duo-density polyester pad that catches hair and debris, while the activated coconut shell carbon removes bad tastes and odors from the water. The filters do not purify the water. These filters are similar to filters used in fish tanks. 

The Drinkwell Replacement Carbon Filters are compatible with the Drinkwell Avalon, Pagoda, Sedona, Seascape, and 2 Gallon Pet Fountains. These filters keep your pet's water tasting clean and fresh. The activated carbon made from coconut shells, removes bad tastes and odors from the water, making it more appealing to drink. Replace the carbon filter every 2 to 4 weeks to maintain freshness to maintain optimum freshness and help prolong the life of the pump. Each box has 12 filters.
