The Icom IC-GM1600 is a handheld VHF radio designed for survival craft communications. It's GMDSS compliant and
 can survive in extreme environmental conditions. It has a  large keypad, and a wide viewing angle LCD display. The 
IC-GM1600 is also waterproof to a depth of 1 m and meets temperature, thermal shock, vibration, and drop resistant 
requirements.
