“Double turned” wood bowl handmade on the lathe using repurposed Cherry from the Adirondacks. I first turned the overall shape for this bowl and included some specific cuts / grooves that I then filled with epoxy resin with iridescent mica before re-turning into the final shape I had in mind. So this bowl is actually double turned.
The finish is made using a mix of natural linseed oil and beeswax providing a surface very soft to the touch and preserving the original beauty of the wood.
The interior is not made to hold water and this bowl is rather recommended for object, fruit or display but not for overly wet item.
Each piece is custom designed in term of shape and wood pattern with each listing being unique and to be removed when sold, making it truly one of a kind. And it can be further personalized for free by adding a wood engraved short message on the bottom of the piece. Just contact me to define details.
The little imperfection of the wood and of its natural grain, which I am trying to show as much as possible through the different pictures displayed, is what is giving character to this piece. And I am doing my best to describe and show this piece (and feel free to contact me if you would like any more information or pictures) but if this piece when received does not meet your expectations, then please let me know and return it for refund or replacement.
