The glass in this swan is very thick.  Light green in color.  The swan has a bent neck with its beak touching its neck.  There is an opening behind the neck which is ribbed or has raised squares like waffles.  This area could be used to hold letters or mail, to slide a billfold in to hold it for the night, this area could be used to put jewelry in there as well.  This area measures 2 inches behind the bottom neck area long x good 3 1/2 inches wide.  The back of the swan is again very thick glass.  The tail feathers are flared out and the top longer feathers are arched.  The original sticker is attached to the front underside.  See photo of what it reads.
