The Porcelain Princess pumpkin is the smaller sister of the Porcelain Doll pumpkin. These share the same blocky shape and deep ribbing as their larger predecessor. The Porcelain Princess pumpkin weighs in at 7-10 pounds on average, whereas the Porcelain Doll can weigh upwards of 25 pounds. Their outer skin is the same salmon-pink color, making it highly ornamental for displays. The vines of this variety trail like the Porcelain Doll as well. They share the same powdery mildew and downy mildew resistance as well as their culinary qualities. Porcelain Princess has familiar thick walls packed with dense sweet flesh suitable for a variety of desserts, soups, stews, or side dishes. Porcelain Dolls need full sun and plenty of space to grow, about 4-5 feet between mounds. These love organic matter and will trellis if trained.
