The solution is taken after diluting it with sweetened or unsweetened water or any other non-alcoholic beverage.
The drug is recommended to be used before meals, but the time of application and the size of the dose must be coordinated with the action of the digestive tract of each patient.
For treatment:
Adults: 100 to 200 mg iron per day, or 2 to 4 ampoules per day. O
Infants over 1 month old and children: 5-10 mg iron/kg daily.
For prevention:
Pregnant women: 50 mg of iron per day (1 ampoule) during the last two trimesters of pregnancy (or from the 4th month of pregnancy). The duration of use should be long enough to correct anemia and restore iron stores in the body (adults: women 600 mg, men 1200 mg).
In the case of iron deficiency anemia: 3 to 6 months, depending on the degree of depletion of iron stores, but can be prolonged if the cause of the anemia persists. Controlling the cure of anemia is permissible no earlier than after 3 months of treatment: parameters for correcting anemia (hemoglobin, mean cell volume) and parameters for restoring iron stores (concentration of iron in blood plasma, ferritin, and transferrin saturation).
Patients with kidney and liver diseases and older people are advised to consult a doctor before taking iron. Observe the duration of treatment and the doses recommended by your doctor.
