This is a vintage Tonala creamer by Ken Edwards and made in Mexico. It is richly colored in blues and greens with brown accents on rim and handle, against the natural stoneware ground. The whimsical decoration depicts a blue bird and butterfly on one side and a floral motif on the other. This creamer is in excellent, pre-owned condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are several line shaped marks under the glaze, on the inside of the creamer and several tiny spots where the glaze did not adhere (made during manufacture). Signed on the bottom, “KE Mexico “ as well as his iconic scorpion silhouette.
