Vinyl plays with some crackles and a few light-clicks (play-graded). Top-loading cover looks great, a few creases near edges; light scuffing and surface impressions (front/back); sticker residue on back near top right. Inner-sleeve is original (artwork/lyrics/credits); one seam partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with developing split near center. Little shelf-wear along other two edges; top corners show noticeable wear. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)

Get Closer arrived two and a half years after Linda Ronstadt's excursion into Punk Rock with her Mad Love album. Get Closer peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard album chart and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album's driving title track is notable for its unusual 7/4 time signature, the song was later chosen to promote Close Up toothpaste (Get Close Up). Assisted by a popular MTV music video, the single peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, the follow-up single, I Knew You When, was also aided by a popular music video and peaked at No. 37 Pop, No. 25 Adult Contemporary, and No. 84 Country. Ronstadt's seductive interpretation of Jimmy Webb's Easy For You To Say was a surprise Top Ten hit on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart. Sometimes You Just Can't Win, the B-side to the Get Closer single, peaked at No. 27 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Ronstadt was nominated for the Grammy Awards for Best Pop Vocal Performance Female and Best Rock Vocal Performance Female for the album and song Get Closer, and the album won the Grammy for Best Album Package, an art director's award.
