Vintage Promotional Empire Scroll 1 1/2 Quart Oval Casserole Dish with Lid 043.  The approximate measurements are 10" Handle to Handle Wide x 4' Tall with Lid x 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" oval at the bottom x 8 1/4" x 6 3/4" opening at the top with no lid. This Gorgeous Pyrex Casserole Dish is a white milk glass with gold scrolls & vines on 2 sides.  It has a clear lid that says Pyrex on one side and 943c 7 on the other side.  There is a small chip on one corner on the side with Pyrex (not sharp or noticeable unless looking).   "Beautiful, Useful, Always Welcome . . . Pyrex Gifts," proclaimed a 1961 advertisement for the holiday season promotional items.  This is one of those Incredible Promotional Items in the 1960's.  It is truly incredible to think of the many hands that touched it, and the life events and memories it was a part of. Condition is preowned with no chips or cracks on dish.  Lid has small chip.  Gold shows minimal wear, especially good considering age & use.  T7
