For zones 8-10 Dusty Miller is a tender perennial, and for 3-7 you should treat them as an annual. Best started early 10 weeks before your last frost and then transplanted to the garden they require light to germinate. Sow on the surface and cover lightly with sand or vermiculite. Avoid getting foliage wet and water from the bottom until you can transplant into the garden. Even through their height is short they make a great cut flower and are highly sought after for bridal bouquets.
