The Gasket is an OEM part compatible with LG front-load washing machines. It sits between the washer tub opening and door, forming a watertight barrier. This helps prevent leaks during fills and spin cycles by sealing the connection.  

Causes of a bad seal include cracks, cuts, or degradation of the sealing material over time and use. Improper mounting that results in gaps compromising the seal can also allow water to escape.

Symptoms of a bad seal include:

• Puddles or pools of water found below the washer after cycles
• Mineral or soap scum buildup from repeated leaks  
• Slow or ineffective water removal during spins
• Soaking or waterlogged clothes that take longer to dry

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models. Replacing a worn or damaged seal restores the washer's ability to safely contain water within the tub.
