TWO VINTAGE RED HANDLED POTATO MASHERS
- Painted Wood Handles
- Potato Masher
- Set of Two
- Circa 1930s – 60s
These two vintage potato mashers have red
painted handles. The handles are worn,
discolored, and the paint is flaking off in spots. One has a white stripe around the handle near
the top, the wood of the other has a carved ring design. They would date from the 1930s – 1960s. The one with the white ring measures
approximately 9 5/8 inches tall and the mashing area is approximately 4 inches
by 3 inches with the wood part of the handle being 4 inches in length. The metal near the top does have some rust,
the blade area has discoloration, age patina and light rust. The other one measures approximately 9 ¾ inches
tall, with mashing area being approximately 4 inches by 2 ¾ inches, the wood
handle is approximately 4 ¼ inches long.
The metal on this one is heavily discolored and does have moderate rust
areas on it. Both would display
wonderfully with any collection of vintage kitchen items.
