Ron Howard made his directorial debut with this tale of teenage lovers on the run. Sam Freeman (Howard) and his heiress girlfriend Paula Powers (Nancy Morgan) decide they can't wait any longer, steal Paula's dad's Rolls Royce, and head off to Las Vegas to get married. Both sets of parents, various bounty hunters, and assorted law men all eagerly give chase, leading to all kinds of narrow escapes, plenty of explosions, and a great deal of plain honest auto-carnage.
