This follow-up to the hugely successful 'Roots' (1977) traces the next generation of Kunta Kinte's family from 1882 onwards, and examines the changing face of racism and the African-American struggle for true emancipation. It follows the life of author Alex Haley (James Earl Jones) up to 1970s America, and then turns full-circle to go back to the birthplace of Kunte Kinte. Just like the first series, this features a superb who's who of African-American actors of their day, along with Hollywood heavyweights such as Henry Fonda, Olivia De Havilland and Harry Morgan. Marlon Brando also stars in the unusual role of the Aryan leader of a Nazi organisation. Please note this DVD is region 2 and will only work in the following regions Japan, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East (including Egypt) and Greenland, Unless you have a multi-regional DVD Player.
