Astilbe chinensis 'Maggie Daley'. Bright, dense, fuzzy lavender-purple plumes over shiny, dark green foliage. A very pretty color and an easy to grow, well behaved plant. One of the later blooming varieties. A super seller, for good reason.

Astilbe are wonderful hardy perennials that can grow in full sun, part sun or shade. As with most perennials Astilbe grow best in well draining soil. They are a good choice for containers. The fragrant flowers can be dried or added to fresh flower bouquets. The foliage is very attractive even without blossoms. Astilbe are generally resistant to deer and rabbits.
