The LG Ice Dispenser Assembly is an OEM component specifically designed for LG brand refrigerators that have automatic ice makers and dispensers. This assembly contains both the ejection shoot that directs ice cubes through the dispenser door as well as the electrical components that trigger ice ejection.
Symptoms include:
- Ice cubes unable to dispense or get stuck inside
- Repeated dispensing attempts not pushing out any ice
- Random dispensing of ice even when not activated
- Dispenser door issues like improper opening or closing
Causes of a bad dispenser assembly can include failure of individual solenoids, sensors or motors due to high usage over many years, or blocked ice transport pathways preventing dispensing.
